This article applies to students, faculty, and staff at all campuses.
Instructions
Note: You cannot connect to the Secure Portal or VPN if you are connected to the college network.
If at any time you are given the chance to select additional features when installing or configuring the AnyConnect VPN client, disable all features except VPN.

Before you can connect to the College’s VPN, you will require the unique E-Grid Card PDF File that has been assigned and will be sent to your Algonquin College email address.  The E-Grid card is an authenticator consisting of numbers and characters in a row-column format. Upon login to VPN, users are presented with a coordinate challenge and must respond with the information in the corresponding cells from the unique E-Grid they possess.

E-Grid Card authentication increases security by providing an additional factor in the authentication process to the VPN.

When you are connected, the AnyConnect icon will appear with a padlock on it. At this point you are connected to the Algonquin college network as if you were logged in on campus.
