Answer
You may be hearing about Office 365, Office, 2016 or 2019 and Office Online. Don't worry, you are not hearing things, and this may be a bit confusing.

Here is some information to keep them straight.
  • Office 365 is a subscription based service that now both Algonquin students and staff are part of. For more, see What is Office 365?
  • Office 2016 or 2019 is on your desktop.
  • Outlook Online is the replacement for OWA, how you access your email online using your web browser.
  • The MS Outlook app is on your mobile device. This is recommended by ITS for the best mobile email experience.
Here is a link to a Microsoft webpage that explains each product and their differences.

Note: Do not install or pay for any MS Office product as Algonquin College staff and students get MS Office free through the college. F
