What can I do when I have problems scanning to email with a Konica Minolta printer?

Instructions
If you try to scan using a Konica Minolta printer on campus and get an error, try the following.

If you are scanning to email, the file can quickly become very large. When the file is too large, you may get a message saying there is no space on the server. At this point you have a few options:
  • Switch the file type of file to compact PDF. This will save space but preserve quality. On the printer press the PDF button, then Compact PDF.
  • Instead of scan to email, you can plug a USB key into the printer and scan to USB.
Note: Make sure the USB key enough free space!
Note: USB ports on non-colour student printers are disabled. To find colour student printers, see Where can I find student printers that will print over-size and colour?
  • If you don't need colour, ensure you are scanning in Black and White. This will result in a much smaller file.
