Before hanging or freezing, the program may display the following messages:
- Initializing Folders
- Initializing the root folders to display
This problem may occur when the computer is connected to one or more mapped network shares that are non-existent or currently offline.
To resolve this issue, you must disconnect all network drives that are offline by following the steps below.
: The following steps may be slightly different on your computer depending on your version of Windows.
How to disconnect a network drive that is offline
- Right-click My Computer, and then click Disconnect Network Drive.
- In the Disconnect Network Drive dialog box, click the letter of the drive that you want to disconnect, and then click OK.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to disconnect all offline network drives.
This problem should not happen when using Office 365 and OneDrive.
