How do I install PaperCut and a direct print staff printer on Linux?

To install PaperCut on Linux

If you have problems with any of the following steps, please refer to the Mac instructions for comparison - How do I install a Konica Minolta Find me Printer on my Mac?
  1. Download the install file.
    1. Go to the network storage folder \\ACprint\PCClient\linux. You will need to use samba, or a similar app.
    2. Download the linux client to your computer - pc-client-linux.sh.
  2. Install the file.
    1. Run the file in a separate terminal window as a shell script. This will install the driver.
    2. Note: Expect to be prompted for your network username and password.
  3. Locate your printer
    1. Locate the direct printer in your area. Use the room number part of the printer names).
    2. Go to \\woprint2. You will see folders there for all the printers. Find the one to install using the room number.
  4. Connect and test print
    1. Connect to that printer via TCP/IP with PaperCut.
    2. Send a test print to the printer to ensure the setup is working correctly.
You are now connected to your staff printer using PaperCut in Linux.
